Description
Wine of France
Without a centuries-old history and heritage, but with a huge passion for wine, Jeff Carrel creates a variety of wines in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Starting out as an oenologist, Jeff has quickly blown up the wine world with his simple yet electric wines, presented in several projects. At Domaine d’Ansignan, an estate located in the Pyrenees, under the sacred mountain of the Catalans, they preserve the spirit of winemaking forgotten elsewhere. In the 150-year-old cellar of La Maison Carrel, between the sea and the mountains, the same wines are created – universes with their own history. Separately, a line of wines with organic certification and the aim of preserving the rapidly disappearing local birds is presented. As a merchant, Jeff creates wines to satisfy those who make wine and those who drink it.
Distinctive notes of ripe berries and fruit jam, with a hint of spices and leather. The taste is round, fresh and sophisticated with well-expressed fruit and subtle tannins.
