Description
AOC Bourgogne Pinot Noir
Domaine Jean Féry & Fils is located in the beautiful village of Echevron, in the Côte d’Or. The history of the estate is quite old and dates back to 1860, when Nicolas Jacob bought Féry and the nearby plot (with a donkey). In 1988, the domain was purchased from his parents by Jean-Louis, a passionate man who fulfilled a childhood dream: to revive the family business. He converted the viticulture to organic, which led to the filigree manual care of the vines and, subsequently, the wine. Today, his sons Frédéric and Laurent Féry pass on the inherited love of French terroirs in the wines, while Laurent Danel is responsible for the alchemy in the cellar.
Limestone and volcanic soils with significant iron content. Fermentation in 228 liter barrels, aging on fine lees without batonnage in young oak.
Philosophy: creating an intellectual Burgundy, with respect for history and attention to the future.
Soft, rounded, with silky tannins, notes of ripe fruit and dark berries, complemented by nuances of undergrowth.
